DBT Family & Friends – 4 hours – Australian DBT Institute

DBT Family & Friends: half a day program for mental health professionals interested in running the Australian DBT Institute’s Family & Friends sessions as an add-on to an existing DBT program.

Facilitators: Peter King (Mental Health Nurse) & Tina Cicolini (Clinical Psychologist)

DBT GROUPS

The Australian DBT Institute runs a DBT Program from Essentia Health in Melbourne, Sydney, and Gold Coast. Our program has been developed by Dr. Peter King who is the developer of DBT-TI. DBT-TI is a Trauma-Informed approach to DBT which follows the evidence base of DBT and safe trauma therapy approaches. The approach has been found to be successful in Australia, South Africa, and Thailand where Dr. King develops mental health professionals in the DBT-TI approach.
