WE ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT NEW MEMBERS FOR THE AUSTRALIAN DBT INSTITUTE’S HUMAN RESEARCH ETHICS COMMITTEE!
The Australian DBT Institute has been busy training mental health professionals, providing supervision, and delivering/developing DBT Programs since 2004!
Following recent strategic planning, and from the continued commitment of our driven clinical and teaching team, the institute is moving towards establishing a stronger research and evaluation presence throughout the Asia Pacific region. Whilst the research of professionals completing our training has influenced the way clinical programs are run in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore, and Thailand, we believe there is a lot more to be done in articulating the success and value of our Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Stabilisation Based Therapy approach!
The first step in this process was to recruit Dr. Claudia Herrera who has research experience in Australia, Colombia, and the USA to lead our research program. Next was to re-establish our research relationships with a range of University academics. Now we are looking to put in place a Human Research Ethics Committee at the Australian DBT Institute to assist with ensuring the basis of ethical principles is formally taken into account during all research undertaken by the Australian DBT Institute.
If you or someone you know is interested in joining our Human Research Ethics Committee please complete the form below and Claudia from our research team will get back to you ASAP!
